Passport visa and length of stay.

To enter Algeria, a valid passport is required which is valid for at least 6 months.

Tourist visa is granted for 30 days,Visa applicants need to show a proof of hotel bookings. It is advisable to obtain a visa in your home country rather than when in a neighboring country

 


EMBASSIES AND CONSULATES

As you prepare for your trip, make note of the contact information for your embassy and consulates outside the capital. You can go there to reissue your travel documents if they are lost and to get an array of advice (health, safety, etc.). Each diplomatic mission usually has an emergency number to be used only if absolutely necessary. Most of the time there is a social services office to help you, even in an emergency.

Algerian dinar (DZD). The Algerian dinar it is subdivided into 100 now obsolete centime.

The official language of Algeria is (literary) Arabic, as specified in its constitution since 1963.French is the most widely studied foreign language in the country, and a majority of Algerians can understand it and speak it
